Our BASE Mentoring Support Assistant (MSA) Programme offers a unique, holistic alternative to traditional teaching assistants, combining classroom support with mentoring and mental health-informed practice.

Our trained MSAs work alongside your staff team in the classroom while also delivering one-to-one and small group mentoring, providing consistent support for pupils who may need additional stability, emotional regulation strategies, or SEN-informed approaches.

Our mentoring

support assistants have

  • Specialist training

  • Relationship-based approach

  • Skills in safeguarding, emotional regulation and communication

  • Understanding of SEN, including autism and ADHD

With a strong focus on consistency and long-term relationships, our MSAs help improve behaviour, build confidence, and increase readiness to learn, creating a more supportive and effective environment for both pupils and staff.

MSAs can be placed full-time or part-time for the academic year, offering flexible, reliable support tailored to your school’s needs.
